Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Speech Audio Artist who will focus on commentary audio implementation and can make an immediate contribution to all aspects of commentary development across EA Sports titles.

You will work within the Create Audio team and with all other aspects of game development (i.e. Art, Animation, Engineering, Design, Production, and Marketing) to push the quality bar for game audio. You will provide direction and guidance to a small group of speech artists and have skills in the recording and editing of quality VO content and advanced asset management. Programmatic scripting skills are a must, while managing the quality of your work. You will report to the Development Manager and take direction from the Audio Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Submit finalized audio assets through Perforce (P4V) on or before required deadlines.
  • Implement and tune commentary playback elements using scripting languages. (Similar to Python/Lua)
  • Edit and organize in-game VO assets per naming convention protocols.
  • Design and build the Audio Director’s vision
  • Audio creative design following the vision and goals of the title(s)
  • Clear communication with team members at all levels
  • Quality control review of project(s)
  • Manage a large content database
  • Work with team project manager to estimate and plan scope
  • Onboard new team members

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years Game Audio experience
  • Advanced in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and SQL/Access.
  • Expert in at least one DAW (Protools or Reaper)
  • Solid experience using audio development tools, technology, and pipelines. (e.g., Wwise/Fmod/Unreal/Unity)
  • Proficient logic and scripting skills in the area of technical implementation of game audio
  • Creative and technical thinker
  • Solid knowledge of PC and console audio hardware.
