Mobile Technical Sound Artist

We are seeking a highly motivated and technical Sound Designer to join our Mobile Video Game Development Team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and implementing high-quality sound effects and music for our mobile games across many genres. You will work closely with our development team to ensure that all audio elements are fully integrated and enhance the overall gaming experience.

This will be a temporary position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sound effects, music, and voice-over recordings for our mobile games
  • Build, debug and maintain mobile runtime audio systems throughout development cycle and live service
  • Edit and implement linear and interactive music
  • Collaborate with game designers, artists, and programmers to ensure that sound elements align with game mechanics and enhance the overall gaming experience.
  • Create, edit and mix audio content across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Design and implement dynamic and interactive sound systems in Unity.
  • Optimize sound files for efficient use within mobile games.
  • Ensure that all audio content is high-quality, accurate, and meets the technical specifications of the platform.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in sound design and implementation for video games.
  • Experience optimizing audio for consoles or mobile platforms
  • Experience creating and editing sound effects, music, and voice-over recordings
  • Strong proficiency in at least one visual or text-based scripting or coding language, such as Unreal Blueprints, Max, PureData, Python, C# etc.
  • Experience working with Unity and knowledge of game engines and audio middleware such as Wwise or FMOD.
  • Proficient in DAW software, sound design tools, and plug-ins (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Reaper, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of sound design principles, including music theory, sound recording, and mixing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Passion for video games and a strong interest in the mobile gaming industry.
